Look What I Did!

As I mentioned in the previous post, I had finished the chicken coop and was back on the layout, having leveled the first sections. Those trim screws are working fine.

I have now connected the third section and attached the plywood to it. No leveling was required. I then built the fourth section (there are five total). I had thought it was another 8 foot section but no, only 6'10". Aargh! Still, it may work out better in the end.

Today, I attached that fourth section and laid the plywood on it. Somehow I had made one end that abuts the second section a little too long (about 6"). Not a big deal, but I need to cut it in the room because the overall length is almost 8' and it's nearly impossible to maneuver it down the stairs. I need to wait until my wife goes shopping in a couple of days to keep peace in the family :)

I have also laid the next piece of my plywood puzzle on the benchwork. I'll need the final section built before I can attach it (that missing 14" would have been useful here). That won't happen for several days. That final section will let me install the last 2 pieces of plywood for this main level.

At some point this week, I'll do a little trimming here and there on the corners to match the design.
