A Little Framework Progress

In unrelated news, the Ham Radio bunny hunt was fun, I passed my Ham license upgrade test, and my wife thinks she may want to move in the near (few years) future.

As to the layout, I did some thinking one rainy day (it's rainy most days lately) and decided that my concept for supporting the different levels was flawed. I had planned to use joists to support the main level and then use drops to support the lower level (mostly staging). That was going to be tough to implement, so I had a think.

Now, I'm going to use joists to support both levels. In order to do that I have installed another set of girders to the wall the necessary amount below the previous ones. These will act as the main support for the joists at the wall. The lower joists will have the angled "leg" supports added (they won't actually touch the ground, giving more room for stuff). I will then use risers to support the upper joist for that level. Thus, I will have good support for both levels and won't need more that the normal amount of rises. This will improve clearance between the levels.

Hope to get a little done the next few days, then I've got other distractions that will interfere.
