It's Finally Happening!

Yeah, it's taken a while to get started. I partially got diverted by Ham Radio (got my Technician license last February and am studying for my General class) and all of its ramifications. Joined a club, now on Board of Directors and am WebMaster. Not train-related!

Anyway, got a burr under my rear recently while checking out something and just started.

I've installed the breaker box (moved it somewhat but is more accessible). Need different breakers than I have. Will be getting those this week.

Finally figured out my benchwork design. I had planned on using L-girder, and I will, but not exactly what I had done before. L-Girder Standalone Table Design photo shows what the l-girder table design looks like. My previous layout used this exclusively as it was free-standing.

The L-Girder Wall Design photo shows my l-girder wall design that will be used for about half the layout. The rest of the benchwork will be the table design attached to the wall at the ends.

I've installed the l-girder along the south and east walls. I need more 1x4 (getting today) to finish the west wall and have some for the tables.
