We've Got Heat!
Yes, I know it's summer and we've had over a 100 degrees lately, but this is the major item that prevented me from working in the shop in the winter. It would get down to 40 degrees and, even with a radiant heater blowing directly on me, my fingers would be freezing.
This heater (see Shop Heater photo) should keep the building at whatever temperature I want, and since it's using gas, it will be more economical in the long run.
Next step, clear the layout area (mostly train stuff) and seal the floor. I will also be installing the framing for a "false" wall as it's almost impossible to anchor the layout to the foam-covered frame of the shop.
